HINDI naiwasan ng ilang senador na iugnay sa laban ng bansa sa teritoryo sa West Philippine Sea ang naging tagumpay ng Gilas Pilipinas kontra China sa FIBA World Cup nitong Sabado ng gabi.

Para kay Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva, maituturing na ‘best win ever’ ang panalo ng Gilas laban sa China.

“Our Gilas 🇵🇭 fought well, like each and everyone of them knows the story of Ayungin, Recto Bank, Pag asa island, etc. So proud of them! Everyone contributed! We saw a different Gilas Team, there’s fire in their eyes! And Jordan Clarkson was a beast! He was like a video player in the 3rd quarter,” pahayag ni Villanueva.

“And just like in the arbitrary ruling we had a commanding and convincing victory against China. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas 🇵🇭 #WestPHSea #KlarongKlaro,” dagdag ni Villanueva.

Para sa senador, ito ang pinakamahalagang basketball game ng taon na tila napanalunan ng Gilas Pilipinas ang championship.

May halong biro namang sinabi ni Senador Imee Marcos na dapat ay iguhit na natin ang bagong mapa ng Pilipinas at ilagay ang 21-dash line.

“After the Win of Gilas against China with 21 points, I propose we redraw the philippine map with our own ’21Dash line of Philippines’. Hehehe,” saad ni Marcos.

Para naman kay Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, ipinakita ng bansa sa tinawag niyang mga bully na hindi papayag ang mga Pilipino na palaging magpa-bully.

“This was the most important game of all! For our Pride and for our Mother Land the Philippines. We showed the bully in the North that we shall not be allowed to be bullied in our own home and that we rallied together as a Nation to pray and cheer for our Team Gilas!” diin ni Zubiri.
